Registration is open for inaugural near field communication training program in South Africa
August 6, 2012 Dallas, Texas — For Immediate Release — OTA Training, the creator of the most comprehensive series of globally delivered RFID education and hands on training today announced that registration is open for its inaugural South African NFC Bootcamp™ Training Series to be held in Johannesburg September 19 and 20, 2012. OTA, with along local and international NFC experts will present the first globally standardized NFC training program designed to educate attendees on how they can harness NFC technology to drive brand awareness.
Sponsored by Poken and SANFi, the NFC Bootcamp delivers high quality knowledge transfer from near field communication (NFC) experts about what NFC is, how it is being employed, what are some of the business models and how you can take advantage of the technology in your business. This high impact series is being delivered in different cities throughout the US, as well as throughout the world.
“Near field communication will change forever how consumers engage with various businesses. Customers are demanding simplified, customized and personalized retail experiences while they are on the go. There is no better place to come and understand the impact this technology is going to have on the way companies do business than at an NFC Bootcamp,” said Robert Sabella, chief executive officer and founder of OTA Training, which produces the NFC Bootcamp series. “We are very pleased to launch our South African expansion, working with local and internal experts to look at how NFC is already engaging consumers.”
Attendees will learn more about how NFC is being used in real-world scenarios — presented by the people actually creating and implementing campaigns. They will also learn about key players in the NFC ecosystem and best practices from experts in the industry. In addition, this training program includes hands-on demos and training on how to build an NFC campaign. A special feature of the NFC Bootcamp is the NFC Showcase where companies working in the NFC field show how this next-generation technology works.
According to Tim Lunn of Poken, “As a thought leader in the NFC space, Poken’s motto is ‘Collecting people and things, with a touch’ – and our business revolves around building brand experience with NFC, and helping customers drive ROI from touch-based services. We are excited to be a part of the NFC Bootcamp to share our real world knowledge in building and integrating NFC technology.”
