Bengt Horsma is vice president and product family manager for global contactless/NFC and handset products in First Data’s mCommerce business. Horsma began his career at First Data in 1996 as an area representative for Telecheck South East. In 1999, he left to pursue other opportunities and has been in his current role since rejoining the company in January 2009. Prior to joining First Data, Horsma spent eight years as vice president and senior business leader for global commerce development at MasterCard, where he focused on strategic and emerging product development for merchants including eCommerce, loyalty and alternative payments.

Einar Rosenberg has been CTO of Narian Technologies for nearly a decade. He has led R&D, Marketing, and Consulting Services to Narian’s customer’s specific to NFC, LBS, Bluetooth, Contactless, RFID, and other Mobile Phones Technologies. Tony SabettiTony Sabetti

Tony has over 20 years in marketing, sales and product development of Near Field Communication (NFC) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) hardware, software and services. Since February 2011, Tony has been an independent consultant working to connect NFC technology with location based marketing programs. From 2009 to February 2011, he was a Senior Director of Sales and Marketing covering North and South American for NXP Semiconductors.

Tony SabettiMikhail Damiani

Mikhail Damiani is the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Blue Bite. Mikhail directs all aspects of Blue Bite’s business and operations and has spearheaded the Company’s NFC efforts with its mTAG® Platform. He is also responsible for the Company’s strategic partnerships, sales, and client management. Prior to Blue Bite, he was an investment banking analyst at GCA Savvian, where he worked on multiple transactions totaling over $1Bn. Mikhail received his B.S. degree in Finance and Management from The Stern School of Business at New York University.

Matthew KammeraitMatthew Kammerait

Matt Kammerait is taking on the world of mobile and interactivity from an unlikely home – within one of the great American printing companies: Quad/Graphics. As product manager for Quad/Graphics interactive print solutions, he is in the vanguard of printing professionals engaged in the process of integrating the immediacy and connectivity of mobile with the proven power and success of the printed page. His focus is helping marketers and publishers combine print and mobile using QR codes, image recognition, augmented reality, Near-Field Communications (NFC) and other emerging technologies.  Matt has been active in Quad/Graphics Innovation Council and Idea Catapult programs, helping Quad/Graphics maintain its corporate commitment to innovation and technology.  He also spearheaded Social Media development and integration across the $4.7 billion, 24,000 employee company.

Daniel BailinDaniel Bailin

Daniel Bailin joined HID Global in 2006. He is part of the Strategic Innovation group focusing on next generation solutions and has been working on NFC applications since 2007. Prior to joining HID, Daniel spent seven years in the Biometrics industry, including Authentec and Bioscrypt, in a variety of sales and business development roles. Daniel’s career began in the semiconductor industry where he held positions involving applications engineering and technical marketing. He has degrees in Chemistry and Electrical Engineering.

Tony VassilievTony Vassiliev

Tony’s career started and evolved in the Vancouver advertising scene. Young & Rubicam, MacLaren McCann, Sun Media, and Glacier Group are some of the cornerstones of his professional experience. He has managed advertising campaigns and new business initiatives for numerous Fortune 500 companies. Because of his love for technology and appreciation for community he dedicated himself full heartedly to helping brands build authentic relationships with their customers. This led to the launch of Gauge Mobile in 2010.

 

Andy ShalabyDavid ShalabyDavid is the Founder and President of TapTrack, an NFC marketing firm.  In addition to leading all R&D efforts, David also contributes to the sales, marketing and strategic operations of TapTrack.  Prior to founding TapTrack, David worked in the aerospace and robotics industry for five years. as well as doing business development for Princess Margaret Hospital in 2010.  David holds an MBA from The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and a BASc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Jim Ellis is the SVP, North America for ABnote North America.  ABnote is the leading North American supplier of secure printed products, documents, and related services, including RFID enabled products and NFC Wallet. Jim’s career has spanned various roles in technology solutions for financial services, including HID Global, FreedomPay, Wincor Nixdorf, Axiohm Transaction Solutions, and AMT Datasouth as well as Wang MicroSystems.

 

Jesse MoneyJesse Money

Jesse is a Principal at Constratus, a management and NFC consulting firm. Jesse has 20 years of wireless and software development experience, and has worked with wireless operators and payment networks to define business strategy, product roadmaps, NFC device certification procedures, and the Isis operational support model. He has spent the last several years working in NFC strategy, implementation, market analysis, and mobile payments. Prior to Constratus, Jesse spent 5 years at Verizon Wireless, where he led the Verizon Wireless consumer product management organization, and has worked for Visa, Samsung, Sprint and BellSouth in management and implementation roles.  Jesse holds a Masters degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Rice University, and a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University.

 

Fernando CejasFernando Cejas

A mobile applications engineer, Fernando has been working with mobile platforms for the past five years. He is a huge fan of Android since the beginning, and is currently working at Flomio, an NFC and RFID company based in Miami (Florida) as a Mobile Evangelist. He is also organizing the Google Developers Group (GDG) in Barcelona. Some of his personal projects are the android10 community and the Android App:NFC Quick Actions.

Bastien LatgeBastien Latge

Bastien Latge has spent the past 4 years (and still continues) working at INSIDE Secure (Previously Inside Contactless) as Product manager and Vice President for Mobile Product, Applets and NFC ecosystem. He was previously Product manager for Dual Interface products (Contact & Contactless Card Products) in US and Europe. He has been elected as Technical Associate representative to EMVCo’s Board of Advisors for 2011 & 2012. In his current role at INSIDE Secure, Bastien has been involved in several NFC project with customers, TSMs, Payment systems and other industries including transportation and access control, and brings a deep technical knowledge of this ecosystem.

 

Gloria LozanoGloria Lozano

Gloria Lozano is CEO BCNTouch, Telecom Engineer for Polytechnical University of Catalonia UPC, and MBA for Esade Business School and PDD (Management Development Program) for IESE.
She has developed most of her path at top class multinational technology companies such as Philips Semiconductors (currently NXP Semiconductors) and Meggitt Electronics  in B2B Marketing, Sales and Operations with focus on account management, process management and customer intimacy.

From 2008 she started to work around the NFC ecosystem. In 2009, she co-founded BCNTouch and took care of the customer development functions. BCNTouch became one of the first european startups building marketing services around NFC technology. In 2011, BCNTouch launched a mobile web platform of “touch-marketing” that allows brands to interact with consumers through physical objects.

Adam LotiaAdam Lotia

Adam Lotia joined the AT&T Foundry® in June 2011. He comes from a rich start-up background including starting two agencies: Fzzz Media and Freelance Jax. Adam is also a founding partner of Exposition Picture Co., which has been noted on IMdB for their work on the silver screen. As an Innovation Coach at the AT&T Foundry® in Plano, Adam is responsible for leading new projects, assisting third-party developers, understanding AT&T’s open API platform, and accelerating the pace of innovation through creativity and collaboration.

 

Alex HowardAlex Howard

Alex Howard has been working in the smart card industry for close to 10 years.  His experience is in development, consulting and support of projects including stored value, PKI, PC access, building access, hardware integration, time and attendance, among a host of other applications.  He is well versed in the US Federal Government CAC and PIV programs and has developed several custom applications which utilize these platforms.  His contactless smart card experience has centered around NXP Mifare and DESFire and HID’s iClass, and is now growing with the expanding NFC technologies.  Tx Systems, as a distributor for several of the world’s prominent contactless reader manufacturers, has provided Mr. Howard a position at the forefront of the growing smart card industry.

Fang ChengFang Cheng

Ms. Cheng, founder of Proximiant, Inc., serves as CEO of this trending start-up focusing on a disruptive mobile receipt and marketing product. The company is currently working with major retailers like Skechers, on a sizable rollout this holiday season. Previously, Ms. Cheng co-founded Touchco, Inc., and served as COO. At Touchco, Ms. Cheng led the business development and operation, brought to the company multiple funding opportunities and led the company to successful acquisition by Amazon.

Ms. Cheng has a Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from New York University, and during her professional career served as a hedge fund manager with leading funds, and mostly recently served as Vice President at Millennium Partners.

Steve JacobsonSteve Jacobson

Steve has been with Alcatel-Lucent for more than 25 years. His past positions range from solutions architect for Application Services, to Systems Engineering Manager for Wireless Application Demos, to Lead Systems Engineer for Messaging Applications. Currently, Steve is a Solutions Architect for the Mobile Commerce Global Delivery Organization.

She thrives in ideation sessions constantly bringing ideas to life breathing life into new possibilities cross channels in the digital space from Digital Out of Home to Mobile. She is in touch with global digital marketing trends that consumers love and turning them into the next marketing delivery possibilities. Sam brings more than years in the technical world from Infrastructure to Internet and beyond. The past 8 years have solely been involved in Out Of Home, Web, Mobile, Analytics and now NFC and beyond. “I believe in getting the message across and connecting the dots. Patrick CrooksPatrick Crooks

Patrick Crooks has advised executives in over a dozen countries on mobile commerce. He has successfully led some of the world’s largest mobile banking projects, delivering products that are used by millions of people. He has worked on behalf of both Banks and Telcos. Patrick is presently investing in NFC start-ups, and recently co-invested in NFC Wireless, Australia’s leading provider of tags and analytics tools. Prior to venturing into mobile banking, Patrick co-founded South Africa’s largest unlisted IT firm (the IQ Business Group). He has a computer security background, an MBA, and has furthered his studies at London and Harvard Business Schools.

Scott AustinScott Austin

Scott Austin has extensive Smart Card and RFID Experience supported by a successful RFID, Identity Management Solution and SAS (Software as A Service) background. As a pioneer of RFID and Web Based Identity Management in Australia and a patent holder in the field, Scott has a strong track record of ID solutions deployed within Australia including for BHP Biliton Mitsuibishi Alliance, NSW Police, DOTARS, World Youth Day 2008, QANTAS, Centrelink, Freedom Fuel, Nueman Petroleum and The Prime Ministers Department. Scott moved to Singapore in January 2011 as a Director of Identive’s new smart inlay and label facility and lead the International Sales and Marketing integration of Identive’s Transponder Division. Now combined with the former SCM Micro reader division, Identive’s ID Products Division is leading the way with NFC Product delivery across the globe including names such as Google, ISIS, Nokia, Orange and many others as a key provider of NFC readers, tags and labels and services.

Hank ChaversHank Chavers

Hank Chavers is Associate Principal at Constratus, a consultancy providing technical expertise and business analysis for NFC, telecommunications, and multi-media innovations. Hank has over 15 years of experience in development, deployment, and adoption of Internet services and wireless data. His NFC specific accomplishments include: producing proof-of-concept demonstrations for NFC enabling wireless technologies; providing technical management for NFC trials including the first ever NFC phone with two types of payment cards; and leading the NFC Forum Developer Workgroup and Global Competition. Hank has advised and consulted many companies like CNN, ESPN, and Sabre in expanding their product offerings to mobile clients.

Sachin MogheSachin Moghe

Sachin Moghe is responsible for Business Development and Project Management for the Americas region of DeviceFidelity. Moghe has over 20 years of IT banking experience with numerous roles in software development, infrastructure management, document imaging, and project management. Prior to joining DeviceFidelity, Moghe was a management consultant at Bank of America, responsible for a multi-million dollar risk scoring upgrade project. Previously, Moghe was the head of software development and client delivery at Experian, where he was responsible for all software engineering efforts for a suite of 15 rules-based credit decisioning products. Prior to Experian, Moghe was the head of software development for over 150 credit card applications (underwriting through loss recovery) at Providian Financial. Previously, Moghe was responsible for document imaging and infrastructure, as well as project management at MBNA. Moghe began his career at JP Morgan, where he was responsible for the software engineering of a government securities fixed income trading platform and ACH systems. Moghe is PMP certified and holds a BS in Information Systems and an MBA in Finance, both from NYU’s Stern School of Business. Moghe is also a member of 2007 Men’s 3.0 and 2010 Men’s 3.5 teams from Texas that won the USTA National Tennis Championships.

Coy ChristensenCoy Christensen

Coy Christensen has 14 years of multinational executive level experience in research and development centered on the point of transaction. He has worked launching various products both front and backend that have been based upon card, biometrics, NFC, and mobile tokens. Applications have ranged from payments, loyalty (which includes social media), content storage and delivery, couponing, and ticketing. Industries have included retailers, government, financial and medical institutions. Coy’s specialty has been the capability of taking a product from conception and launching it into market in a very efficient and timely matter. Coy recently joined the Merchant 360, Inc. team in a partner role to assist clients in delivering products to markets.

She has worked across various industry verticals and is currently focused on working with emerging and mobile technology and first movers in the NFC industry, especially in regard to cross ecosystem distribution and deployment. Richard GrundyRichard Grundy

Richard Grundy, CEO of Flomio, Inc. has over 13 years of R&D experience in the wireless industry. Richard earned a Bachelors and Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, holds two device patents, and has spent a career at Motorola developing mission critical solutions for enterprise customers. Having implemented NFC and RFID projects in excess of $100 million for the Department of Defense, Federal Bureau of Prisons, and the first responders market, Richard understands the challenges of building end-to-end infrastructure products that scale. Tom ZalewskiTom Zalewski

A 20+ year veteran of the telecommunications industry, Tom Zalewski is Vice President, Sales at CorFire. Tom brings over a decade of experience in the mobile payments arena and has been integrally involved in many of the first NFC and pre-NFC (RFID) mobile payments trials & pilots. During 2006 Tom helped create a Trusted Service Manager joint venture between Nokia and Giesecke & Devrient, then was appointed President and General Manager of Venyon Inc. in early 2007. Prior to establishing Venyon Inc., Tom was with Nokia since 1999 in various business development roles. His most recent position there was Director of NFC/RFID Consumer Solutions for Nokia Ventures. Tom was responsible for creating new business opportunities based on market trends and emerging mobile device technologies. During his time with Nokia, Tom worked closely with technology leads to develop and sell bundled services and solutions to service providers in the telecom industry. Technologies included Short Messaging Service, Multimedia Services, Location Based Services, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) solutions, Mobile Gaming, Mobile Marketing and Mobile Internet. Before joining Nokia, Tom worked in the wireless industry in various management, technical and operational roles with Samsung, Siemens, Qualcomm and Texas Instruments. Tom is a graduate of the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Mikko Nikkanen is the Business Development Director for Business Line Mobile and Smart Media, Business Unit Electronic Product Identification at SMARTRAC. Mikko has several years of global experience in developing NFC/RFID tag-based concepts, and applications. He has played an integral part in establishing the world famous NFC partnership network around www.nfctags.com. Prior to working for SMARTRAC (formerly UPM RFID), Mikko held management positions in digital marketing, laser component and datacom/telecom network industries. Mikko holds a degree in marketing management.
